Attention: David Gilb, Director of DPAWhereas: IT professionals are working under an outdated and inadequate classification system that hinders upward mobility and fails to provide fair compensation.
Whereas: The current testing and selection process has serious flaws and creates further barriers to opportunity and career development for state IT professionals.
Whereas: Current negotiations between DPA and the SEIU Local 1000 bargaining team present us an ideal opportunity to resolve these issues.
We, the undersigned IT professionals, ask that the State approve an agreement on reclassification that promotes fair compensation, upward mobility and a testing system with adequate scope and frequency.
