Today and likely for years to come, CalPERS faces unprecedented challenges in protecting pensions, investments and our health insurance benefits. Local 1000 has endorsed George Diehr as your CalPERS representative in the CalPERS Board of Administration election.
Diehr wants to continue to ensure you and your family has the best benefits available, and our investments grow to protect our health and retirement security.
For eight years, Diehr has worked with CalPERS members to protect our benefits and keep our retirement secure. In the coming years...his goals include:
Working to protect CalPERS members, Diehr championed a health insurance premium holiday in 2009 for our PPO plans that saved the state more than $100 million and most families more than $800. This is just one example of how George, as your representative, has used his experience and tenacity to help state employees and our families.
George is looking forward to protecting the benefits we have earned and continuing to grow our investments at CalPERS. He pledges to work for solutions that keep our healthcare affordable and our pension safe.
