DLC 750 - San Francisco, CADistrict Labor Council 750 represents employees from State Compensation Fund, Franchise Tax Board, California Coastal Commission, Department of Insurance, Board of Equalization, CalTrans, Public Defenders, and the Bay Bridge Toll Takers. Our most active members are in Coastal Commission, Department of Insurance and Franchise Tax Board. The largest agency in DLC 750 is State Fund; 70% of the membership is in Unit 1 - Professional Administrative, Financial and Staff Services. We represent members in Unit 4 - Office and Allied Workers, Unit 11 – Engineering and Scientific Technicians, Unit 14 – Printing Trades, Unit 15 Allied Service Workers, and Unit 17 United Registered Nurses.

2008 Updates
Under the leadership of Paul Langley and Raquel Ortiz, DLC 750 worked with sister DLC 743 and DLC 746 to put together a rally with over 200 SEIU members at the State Building on August 25th, 2008. Controller John Chiang spoke to the media and challenged the Governor to pass a budget instead of using State Workers as pawns and reducing their pay to minimum wage.
Other actions at work sites in August and September have continued to voice our dissatisfaction with the State’s budget process and refusal to negotiate a new contract.
Important News – What we’ve done lately- Union Stewards and our Attorney has represented and defended member served with an adverse action; the disposition of the action is still pending.
- Union Stewards are protecting our rights in Article 13 and the right to respond to disciplinary actions and/or memos that management wants to place in personnel files.
- Union Stewards have filed and are in the process of filing several out of class grievances.
Representation Issues If you have any representational issues or believe your rights in the SEIU1000 contract have been violated, please contact your local Union Stewards, we have a professional staff to support our Union Stewards. If you receive an “Adverse Action” or other disciplinary actions, please contact your Union Steward immediately. You have specific rights as well as deadlines that need to be followed to protect those rights.
