DLC 769 General Update Information

DLC 769 has been very active politically in the Garamendi for Congress Campaign.  The San Joaquin Calaveras Counties Central Labor Council in conjunction with the Sacramento Central Labor Council helped tremendously with phone banking for the special election.  Maria Patterson actively participated in the political campaigning as well. She helped with canvassing the district and doing continuous phone banking on many consecutive weekends during the campaign period.  On November 4th, Maria Patterson and Nikki Linnerman attended the Garamendi Election Night in Walnut Creek and heard the announcement live of our newly elected Congressman!

Congratulations to Congressman John Garamendi ~ Another vote for Health Care for America!

SEIU Local 1000, DLC 769 met at Congressman Cardoza’s office last month. Monaliza DaSalla, Maria Patterson, and Christian Santos attended this meeting and urged Cardoza’s office to vote “YES” on Health Care. On Friday, November 6th, Jacqueline McCollum, Maria Patterson and Nikki Linnerman were part of a delegation that visited Congressman Cardoza’s office.  The purpose of the visit was to again encourage Congressman Cardoza to vote “YES” on Health Care.

SEIU Local 1000, DLC 769 has been continuously and actively calling his office requesting his support on Health Care for All for the past few months.  We have made hundreds of calls in support of Health Care Reform to his offices in Washington, Modesto and in Stockton.

On Saturday, November 7th, Congressman Cardoza voted “YES” on H R 3962: Affordable Health Care for America Act.

Thank You Congressman Cardoza for supporting the working families and listening to your constituents.
