PERB held pre-hearing conference for IT Unit 22 case

PERB held a pre-hearing conference today to establish deadlines concerning the exchange of witness lists and documents in the IT Unit 22 case.  The parties, including SEIU Local 1000 and the State of California, met with the PERB judge to resolve concerns about procedural issues and confirmed the date and location of the hearing. The hearing will begin in early August.

PERB is the Public Employment Relations Board and has the legal authority to decide whether a separate IT Unit is appropriate under the Dills Act, the law which governs collective bargaining for State employees.
