In 2006, the Local 1000 Council adopted a plan to enhance and expand member representation.
The interim member representation program was launched in April 2007 and provides assistance to members with representational issues.
New full time, highly trained professional staff in contract enforcement, grievances, mediations, arbitrations and litigation, work to better protect the rights of members.
More than 130 intake calls are processed on a weekly basis.
