Daniel Campbell Ford Scholarship
There is college scholarship money available to two graduating high school seniors from the Folsom and Rancho Cordova communities. The Daniel Campbell Ford Scholarship in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District provides $1,000 each to one graduating high school student from Folsom and one from Rancho Cordova. Zak Ford, a local labor leader and a member of the Folsom Cordova Unified School Board, founded the scholarship in 2011 to honor his great-grandfather, a Tennessee coal miner who moved his 11 children to California a century ago so they could get an education.
