On Feb. 26 the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments for Janus v AFSCME, a court case funded by corporations and anti-labor groups like the Freedom Foundation to divide working people, suppress our wages and take away our hard-earned benefits.

Having a union means having a voice and being treated with respect. It means having financial security and a chance at a middle class life. It means providing a home for our families, food on our tables and clothes for our children.

On Feb. 26, while the Supreme Court hears the case, we’re making sure they hear our voices, too!

Join thousands of workers across the country for a National Day of Action as we say #iChooseMyUnion and show the nation that America needs union jobs!

  1. RSVP: Events will be held in Bakersfield, Fresno, LA, Sacramento and San Francisco. Click here to RSVP.
     
  2. Take a pic: On the Day of Action, post photos on social media using the hashtags #iChooseMyUnion and #WeRise
     
  3. Join in digital form: Go to your Facebook status on Feb. 26 and check in to the “Supreme Court of the United States”
     
  4. Share your story: Update your Facebook status with a photo/video telling your story or a message on why America needs unions. Use the hashtags #iChooseMyUnion and #WeRise
     
  5. Spread the word: Tag our union page @SEIU1000 and spread the word to coworkers and friends
