LOCAL 1000 LEADERSHIP ACADEMY The Local 1000 Leadership Academy is a blended learning environment offering online and classroom courses. Member leaders and staff have the opportunity to access training in five learning tracks: Representation, Governance, Bargaining, Politics and Legislation, and Organizing. LOCAL 1000 STAFF DEPARTMENTS Local 1000 staff departments include a legal department with more than ten experienced labor attorneys; a highly respected, widely published research department; a legislative department that gives Local 1000 members a voice in the state Legislature; a political department that empowers Local 1000 members to get involved in the political process and teams of communicators, labor representatives, IT technicians and more. |
