Join us for an exciting training opportunity to build Union power
Our Union faces extraordinary challenges. We’ll be bargaining a contract soon, and the key to winning a good contract is to double down on our fundamental organizing skills to build people power … Union power.
You’re invited to join with fellow member leaders in a six-week Zoom-based training called the Skills to Win workshop. It’s aimed at developing fundamental organizing skills that will build Local 1000’s capacity to project power and to create change.
Once a week for six weeks, for two hours on Zoom, Skills to Win will focus on how to build high-participation organizations including:
- Identifying leaders who can move our membership
- How to have successful organizing conversations
- How to chart workplaces, neighborhoods, and other collective structures
Analyze and understand power dynamics to inform strategies
