Attend a Town Hall on alleviating Sacramento’s homeless crisis
Last fall, the City of Sacramento declared an “emergency homeless shelter crisis” – the tip of the iceberg for a community issue that affects us all.
- Local 1000, in partnership with Sacramento Area Congregations
Together (SacACT) and Loaves and Fishes are hosting the first of
two Town Halls to discuss the homeless situation, to humanize the
problem, and to advoate for solutions to this economic
- Our Local 1000 Purpose Statement encourages us to build power necessary to give our members – and all Californians – the opportunity to have a good life, live in sustainable communities and enjoy the fruits of social, economic and environemental justice.
Join your fellow members and others from your community as we work to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
*Attendees are encouraged to bring new socks, underwear, t-shirts, hats, etc. for Loaves and Fishes to distribute to homeless men, women and children in our community.
