Education & Training

If your department requires you to attend an educational program, you must be reimbursed for your costs. This includes tuition, registration fees, books, transportation, parking, and lodging.

Educational programs that are not required may be reimbursed if approved by your department. Some departments are more open to training than others. Emphasize how the program will help improve your department and the services you provide to every day Californians.
