SUMMARY:Quarterly DLC Vice-Presidents Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to invite you to the first Quarterly DLC Vice-Presidents Meeting. This meeting will be designed to strengthen communication\, collaboration\, and strategic alignment across all steward areas in Local 1000 including recruitment\, training and discipline.  This meeting will be in-person in the Sacramento\, Fresno and Ontario area offices. The date of the meeting is Jan. 25\, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Regional Officers and DLC Presidents are also being invited to observe. \nA strong steward program is essential to growing the union’s capacity to represent\, educate\, and mobilize members. These meetings will focus on building a robust network of stewards who are well-trained\, supported\, and empowered to take on leadership roles within their workplaces. \nHere’s what you can expect: \nOutcomes:  \n\nFacilitate Regional Alignment:\nAddress region-specific challenges\, share successes\, and implement tailored strategies that align with the broader goals of SEIU Local 1000 while respecting the unique needs of each region.\nFoster Leadership Development:\nProvide vice presidents with a space to share leadership experiences\, refine their skills\, and exchange ideas for more effective member engagement\, recruitment and advocacy.\nImprove Communication Flow:\nEnsure consistent and transparent communication between the executive board\, vice presidents\, and local stewards\, keeping everyone informed of union priorities and updates.\nEnhance Steward Support:\nCoordinate efforts to address steward concerns regionally and collaboratively develop solutions\, reinforcing the support system for our worksite leaders.\nTrack Progress on Goals:\nReview progress on key programs\, such as the steward recruitment program\, and refine strategies based on real-time feedback from members.\n\nWe encourage you to secure your spot by registering at the following link: Registration Link \nRegistration Deadline: Close of business\, Wednesday\, January 8\, 2024. \nIf you have any questions about the Quarterly DLC Vice-Presidents Meeting\, please email scr@seiu1000.org.
