Thank you to everyone who attended LUNAFEST. The movies were great and having two of the filmmakers with us to answer questions made it a special event. We will definitely be doing this again next year!

Proud Members Supporting Pride Month
Local 1000 Lavender Committee Building Stronger Community Bonds
Our members joined with our union’s Lavender Committee and more than 17,000 Sacramento-area residents to celebrate LGBT Pride month with a parade and festival on June 10. Across the state and the nation, events like this one celebrate and honor the LGBT culture and pride and the decades-long struggle to overcome prejudice and to earn the natural right for individuals to be accepted for who they are.
Celebrating Pride Month
The Women’s Empowerment Committee stands in solidarity with our sisters and brothers of the Lavender Committee & all LGBTQ people.
Women’s History Month
Eva Peron
In honor of Women’s History Month, our Women’s Empowerment Committee Chair, Tracie Kimbrough is celebrating the life and legacy of Eva Peron.

1919 – 1952
Eva was a powerful political figure amongst working class trade union members who inspired millions with her campaigns to help the poor and give women the right to vote. Her supporters said she was a saint who strove to overcome poverty and injustice.
