Know Your Rights: Highlights of the Recently Signed Telework Agreement
In April, the SEIU Local 1000 Bargaining Team signed an agreement that governs telework, provides a stipend, and helps our represented employees resolve issues that arise in the workplace.

Telework Stipend
Third Installment of General Salary Increase begins July 1
All represented employees of SEIU Local 1000 (in eligible classifications) will receive a 2.5% General Salary Increase (GSI) effective with the pay period that begins on July 1. Most state workers should see this increase in their August paychecks.
This is the third GSI increase we won in our current contract. Overall, our Bargaining Team negotiated a 7% increase for our represented members, in a contract that included a number of significant advances:

Apprentice Program Graduate Sees New Career Success
Alan Rodriguez got a well-deserved career boost from SEIU Local 1000’s groundbreaking apprenticeship program, and is enjoying a new job, more income, and most important, more time with his family.
Alan was one of the first graduates of Local 1000’s Information Technology Apprentice Program. His education and on-the-job training began in September 2018, and now he’s part of the Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) at the Department of General Services.
