Jan. 2 Nomination forms are mailed to certified stewards, and it is the first day nomination forms and candidate statements will be accepted at Local 1000 Headquarters – 1808 14th Street, Sacramento CA 95811, by fax at 916.554.1295 or email to local1000elections@seiu1000.org 
Jan. 12 First day to request duplicate nomination forms from seiu1000.org or call the Member Resource Center at 866.471.SEIU (7348). 
Feb. 12 Completed nomination form and candidate’s written statements must be received no later than Feb. 12, 2018 – 5:00 p.m. (100-word statements for candidates). 
Feb. 26 Mail notification of election to uncontested candidates. 
Mar. 4 Last day to withdraw candidacy by a signed and dated letter to the Elections Committee, Local 1000, 1808 14th Street, Sacramento CA 95811, fax 916.554.1295 or email to local1000elections@seiu1000.org 
April 20 Ballots mailed to all members. 
May 1 First day to request duplicate ballots – call the Member Resource Center at 866.471.SEIU (7348). 
May 21 5:00 p.m. deadline for receipt of ballots by U.S. Postal Service at 1100 Melody Lane, Roseville, CA 95678. No walk-ins are accepted. 
May 21 Opening of ballot envelopes. Observers welcome – 1:00 p.m., 1100 Melody Lane, Roseville, CA 95678. 
May 22 & 23 Ballot count – 9:00 a.m., 1100 Melody Lane, Roseville, CA 95678. Observers welcome. 
May 30 Official results mailed to candidates. 
June 1 Election protest period begins. 
June 11 5:00 p.m. deadline for receipt of election protests sent to: Attn: Yvonne Walker, President, Local 1000, 1808 14th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811.
June 25 Results of protest committee’s findings mailed to all parties.
