PLG 300: COPE—Committee on Political Education
Elective Course

COPE’s job is to support all of the political functions of the union, including such things as promote voter registration drives, encourage membership participation in campaigns, propositions, legislation, and most importantly to help raise money to support Local 1000’s political and legislative activities. This course will provide an overview of COPE and why it is important. You will learn how to have discussions about COPE and how to make the all-important ‘ask’ for money.

Requirements: Students are required to pass a post test.

Prerequisite: PLG100
