Post

In 2021, our Union will elect the member leaders who will shape the future of SEIU Local 1000. Online nominations will be accepted beginning Jan. 4 at seiu1000.org/leadership-elections

As a member-run union, Local 1000 relies on its elected officers and representatives to choose the direction we take in our fight for better wages and working conditions. Our leaders are at the forefront of organizing our efforts to give our members—and all Californians—the opportunity to have a good life, live in sustainable communities and enjoy the fruits of social, environmental and economic justice.

Our leadership team determines the priorities of Local 1000. We work together to engage our 96,000 members to enforce our hard- earned contract rights, to strengthen the middle class and give power back to working families.

As a statewide officer, an officer in your District Labor Council, or as a District Bargaining Unit Representative or Classification Bargaining Unit Representative, you have a voice in the activities that matter most to you, your fellow workers and your families.

Are you innovative and willing to think beyond worksite-specific issues steward, committed to building a better future for all Californians?  Then consider stepping up and becoming an elected leader of Local 1000.

SEIU Local 1000 election details will be posted on the SEIU Local 1000 website January 4th when the nomination period opens and will be available for eligibility stewards.
