DVI Closure SROA Phase Update 

Our Union has received the notice of the SROA phase of the DVI closure from CalHR for both CDCR and CCHCS. The closure date is still set for September 30, 2021.

Our Union team will be meeting with the departments to negotiate the process of this phase focusing on reducing as much impact on employees as possible. Meeting dates have not yet been set. 

We will also be scheduling informational meetings in the future for employees as we move through this phase so that employees will have a chance to ask questions and get updates. These informational meeting dates and times will be publicized once they have been set.

Impacted CDCR and CCHS employees in San Joaquin County should have now received their SROA packet, either electronically or via mail. There are some classifications that are not impacted by this phase, as DVI employees in those classifications were able to secure other positions through Voluntary Transfer Process (VTP) or other mitigation processes.
