Sacramento, CA (November 9, 2020) — The 700,000 members of the Service Employees’ International Union (SEIU) in California today celebrated victory in a key legislative race that will help expand a working family majority in the California State Senate - the election of Dave Min in SD 37. SEIU California members worked tirelessly through phone banks and text banks to ensure Senator-elect Min was elected to be a champion for working families in California.

“SEIU members were proud to raise our voices and put our energy into reaching voters on behalf of Dave Min, a champion for working people,” said David Huerta, President of SEIU-USWW and Executive Board Member of SEIU California. “We know Senator-elect Min will strengthen California by working alongside us to create good jobs, make health care affordable and accessible, and deliver dignity and justice for all Californians – white, Black, brown and API alike.”
