Aerosol Transmissible Disease (ATD)

Post

Learn about how California’s Aerosol Transmissible Disease (ATD) Standard continues to protect us from the novel COVID-19 Virus.

The Cal/OSHA Aerosol Transmissible Disease (ATD) Standard is an enforceable regulation that applies in healthcare, corrections, and other high risk environments.

This class will discuss the scientific basis for the ATD Standard and highlight specific provisions of the regulation—including infection control planning; use of masks, respirators, and other personal protective equipment; airborne infection isolation; post exposure measures; filing Cal/OSHA complaints; and, medical screening procedures.

The course will emphasize how nurses and healthcare workers can use these regulations to secure protections against COVID-19 and other infectious disease hazards in their facilities.

This is our repeated course and is open to all SEIU members and invited guests.

The course is free, but registration is required to reserve your space.
