State workers are the backbone of California, working tirelessly to care for our communities. But, too often, we are not able to take care of ourselves or our families as we should.

That’s why SEIU Local 1000 members will be gathering at the state capitol on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. to outline our demands for a new contract with the State.

It’s time the Governor and Legislature recognize the sacrifices state workers made during the pandemic—and continue to make—to serve our state. It’s time the State delivers a new contract that provides significant increases in wages, benefits, and working conditions.
