Kaiser / SEIU 1000 Well-Being Program

Post

The COVID-19 pandemic has reminded many of us just how important it is that we care for the health of our communities. For more than a decade, SEIU Local 1000 has been fighting for a healthier California. This year, SEIU Local 1000 has partnered with Kaiser Permanente to launch a well-being program for Kaiser members who are also SEIU Local 1000 members.

SEIU 1000, alongside CalPERS, has asked all health plans to collaborate in our effort to control rising health care costs, ensure quality of care, and pass on any savings to our members. As part of this effort, we created a Total Health Assessment to see what’s impacting our member’s health, and to point them towards resources to help reduce stress, quit smoking, increase physical activity, and much more.

Running until August 31, 2021, SEIU Local 1000’s Total Health Assessment program offers members rewards of up to $150 per member or $300 per family at different stages of the program. Members can:

  • Complete the Total Health Assessment and earn a $75 reward card
  • Complete 3 missions and earn a $75 reward card
  • Get a customized action plan to help you make healthy lifestyle changes

During the reward period, members can earn each reward card once. Reward cards expire 12 months from the date issued.

This program is open to all SEIU Local 1000 members who are Kaiser Permanente subscribers and their spouses or domestic partners who are Kaiser Permanente members, 18 and older, covered by the CalPERS health plan from Kaiser Permanente.
