Post

In 2021, we will once again elect the Local 1000 leaders who will shape the future of the Union.

As a Job Steward, you’re encouraged to run for Local 1000 office. And there’s no time like now to make a difference by stepping into your leadership, as the deadline to submit your candidacy — February 8 at 5:00 p.m. — is fast approaching.

Whether you choose to run for a position as a statewide officer, an officer in your District Labor Council, or as a District Bargaining Unit Representative or Classification Bargaining Unit Representative, putting your name on the ballot gives you a prominent voice in the activities that matter most to you, your fellow union workers, your families, and your community.

Want to help determine the priorities of Local 1000? Ready to work together with your union brothers and sisters to engage our 95,000 members, enforce our hard-earned contract rights, strengthen the middle class, and give power back to working families? Then you have the right stuff to help move Local 1000 forward.
