SCIF Implementation of PAVE Software
Update

Post

The SEIU Local 1000 team had our first meeting with State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF) regarding the implementation of the PAVE software program that they intend to fully implement in the coming months, on Friday, October 22.

The PAVE software implementation is intended to reduce the amount of steps that it takes to print and send SCIF’s official mail and to centralize the printing and mailing work. This implementation will come in phases, with employees in Vacaville and Fresno using the new mailing process as early as mid-November and the rest of the implementation roll out scheduled for January 2022.

SCIF employees who were previously assigned to printing and mailing duties may be shifted to cover other critical work for the department, some of which they may have already been performing as related to the CARE program. Employees who will see their duties changed will be receiving new duty statements from SCIF. Some employees may already have received them.

In relation to that timeline, SCIF is currently drafting training information, and they aim to deliver this information to employees sometime in December. Our Union has asked that we receive a copy of this training information when it has been prepared.

Our Union is still working with SCIF on this issue. As we receive additional information and updates, we keep impacted employees informed. If you have questions, you can direct them to your Unit Chair or unit4@seiu1000.org
