SEIU Local 1000 Shows Support for Striking Sacramento City Teachers Association

As the Sacramento City Teachers Association (SCTA) strike moves into Day Eight in their fight for a fair contract, SEIU Local 1000 is showing their support for SCTA and their union, Local 1021, against the Sacramento City Unified Scholl District (SCUSD). After the Local 1000 Executive Leadership Team drafted a resolution of support, we donated over $500 in snacks and water for strikers who are walking the line Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Serna Center, 5735 4th Avenue in Sacramento. The resolution letter in support of the SCTA and SEIU Local 1021 strike also calls on the SCUSD board to accept the factfinder’s recommendations. To read the recommendations, click here.
