ELECTION RIGGING RESPONSE ACT

VOTE YES ON PROP 50 TO DEFEND OUR DEMOCRACY THIS NOVEMBER

Trump and the Republicans voted to strip away our Medicaid, raise premiums on our health care, and target immigrant families with cruelty.
And now they want to consolidate their power by rigging the next election. WE have the power to stop Trump and save our right to vote.

Proposition 50 would temporarily replace California’s current congressional district map with one drawn by the Legislature, to be used for the 2026-2030 elections, in response to Texas’ partisan redistricting.

It ensures the 2026–2030 congressional elections are fair, temporary, and voter-driven. It authorizes the Legislature to draw emergency maps in response to partisan gerrymandering in other states, leveling the playing field and protecting California’s diverse communities. These maps expire in 2030, preserving the authority of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission for future elections. Prop 50 puts power in the hands of the people, defends democracy, and reaffirms California’s commitment to fair, proportional, and independent redistricting nationwide.
