Our contract is the agreement between SEIU Local 1000 and the State that outlines our pay, our benefits, and our rights! Our bargaining team is gearing up to negotiate a new contract and what we win depends on how strong and united we are.
Here are the priorities our Bargaining Unit 3 team is bringing to the table:
Leave Improvements
Expanding access and strengthening the ability to use leave without unnecessary barriers
Stronger Representation and Enforcement
Examining methods by which we can effectuate contract enforcement that also ensures that workplace health and safety protections are maintained and improved
Salary and Compensation
Continuing the fight for competitive salary and compensation, including differentials, and other compensation-related provisions
Instructional Assignment Protections
Strengthening language that provides greater transparency, fairness, and stability in instructional assignments
