Our Union team has successfully negotiated an agreement designed to provide additional support and protections for represented employees who may be impacted by the closure of the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC).
As employees navigate the uncertainty and changes associated with the closure, our priority is to ensure that affected members have access to important workplace protections, employment resources, and opportunities that can assist them throughout the transition.
You can review the full agreement here.
In summary, the agreement provides impacted employees with several important protections and benefits, including the ability to retain previously approved leave, continued access to career development programs, and applicable Post and Bid rights. These provisions are intended to provide employees with greater stability and additional resources as they consider available employment options and next steps.
We recognize that the CRC closure may continue to raise questions as the transition process moves forward. Our Union team will continue working to provide employees with information, clarification, and updates as they become available.
We strongly encourage employees to check this page regularly for the latest information regarding the closure which is scheduled for September 30, 2026.
Employees with questions or concerns may also contact [email protected]. A member of our team will review your inquiry and respond within approximately 24-48 hours.
Our Union remains committed to advocating for represented employees and helping ensure that impacted members have the information, resources, and support necessary throughout this transition.
