Bargaining Unit 3, the unit representing our Professional Educators and Librarians, met again with the State on Thursday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 5, to resume unit-specific bargaining negotiations for our 2026 Contract.
Our team has remained steadfast in pushing for meaningful, substantive dialogue around the priority proposals we submitted on the first day of our unit-specific negotiations. We have been consistent and direct in making clear how critical these proposals are to our members, and we are fully committed to advancing these conversations at every opportunity.
As we wait for the State to engage with these proposals, our team will keep showing up prepared and ready to fight for the wages, protections, and working conditions our members have earned and deserve.
Our Unit 3 Bargaining Team will continue fighting for what we deserve and will continue pressing for the meaningful engagement these negotiations merit. Your priorities are our priorities, and our commitment to fighting for the issues you identified remains our sole focus at every session.
Unit 3 returns to the table today, Thursday, May 7. We’ll share updates on negotiations regularly, so be sure to watch your inbox every Thursday morning around 9 a.m. for the latest bargaining news and opportunities to stay involved throughout this fight.
