We’re excited to share a strong win from the Union Resource Center (URC).
A DLC 767 California Conservation Corps (CCC) employee was rejected during their probationary period from their Analyst II position. A State Personnel Board appeal was quickly filed, and through the dedicated work of URC Representative the rejection was successfully withdrawn.
As a result, this member will be reinstated to their Analyst II position.
This case is especially meaningful because the employee was not a member at the time of a prior disciplinary action in 2025 and therefore were not eligible for representation. They later joined SEIU Local 1000 in January 2026. Once membership eligibility was confirmed, the URC took on the case and secured a positive outcome.
This win is a clear reminder of the importance of membership. Having representation when it matters most can make a significant difference in job security and outcomes.
