Through our union, our Post and Bid Workgroup launched the innovative and comprehensive tools to provide training to empower Unit 17 and 20 members at California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) through the process of selecting their hours, days off and work location.

The workgroup is comprised of representatives from various Unit 17 and 20 classifications to ensure members have the information they need to exercise their union right to bid positions and vacations.

In anticipation of the upcoming October 1 start of the 24-month bid cycle for RNs, LVNs and CNAs, the workgroup trained nearly 60 leaders, representing institutions across the state, who will carry the information and resources back to their worksites to share with coworkers.
