Build the Future of Your Union – Become an Elected Local 1000 Leader
Nominations for leadership candidates accepted now through February 8

Post

In 2021, our Union will elect the member leaders who will shape the future of SEIU Local 1000. Online nominations are now being accepted through February 8, 5:00 p.m., at seiu1000.org/leadership-elections

As a member-run union, Local 1000 relies on its elected officers and representatives to choose the direction we take in our fight for better wages and working conditions. Our leaders are at the forefront of organizing our efforts to give our members—and all Californians—the opportunity to have a good life, live in sustainable communities and enjoy the fruits of social, economic, and environmental justice.

Determining the priorities of Local 1000 begins with our leadership team, who work to engage our 96,000 members, enforce our hard-earned contract rights, strengthen the middle class, and give power back to working families.

As a statewide officer, an officer in your District Labor Council, or as a District Bargaining Unit Representative or Classification Bargaining Unit Representative, you have a voice in the activities that matter most to you, your fellow workers, and your families.

Are you innovative, willing to think beyond worksite-specific issues, and committed to building a better future for all Californians?  Then consider stepping up and becoming an elected leader of Local 1000.
