This week, your Unit 11 Bargaining Team continued pushing for fair pay and recognition for the critical work Unit 11 members perform every day.
Your bargaining team passed a proposal this week on issues related to pest control licensing requirements for impacted Unit 11 members. Discussions focused on improving how workers are supported when maintaining required licenses as part of their job duties. Currently, the contract provides reimbursement for licensing fees, and your team continues advocating for additional recognition of the responsibilities associated with maintaining these certifications for State work.
Your team also continued discussions related to Lab Assistants who perform phlebotomy work. While the State indicated more information and research is needed before making any decisions on the proposal, your team will continue pushing for fair compensation for members performing phlebotomy duties.
At the same time, the State has still not responded to several key economic proposals previously submitted by your bargaining team. The union continues pressing the State for meaningful responses on the core financial issues impacting Unit 11 members.
“Our members perform critical work across the State every single day, and they deserve to be treated with fairness and respect at the bargaining table. We’re continuing to push for meaningful progress on the issues that matter most to Unit 11 workers.”
