Unit 4 Bargaining Unit Negotiating Committee (BUNC)

DMV Statewide JLMC Updates

Our contract is the agreement between SEIU Local 1000 and the State that outlines our pay, our benefits, and our rights! Our bargaining team is gearing up to negotiate a new contract and what we win depends on how strong and united we are.

Here are the priorities our Bargaining Unit 4 team is bringing to the table:

Equitable Compensation

We will support a fair GSI for everyone but also prioritize Unit 4 Call Center language and pay and push for an increase for those that are topped out at the highest step in their classification.

Fair Workload

We will look to strengthen and add language that ensures our members have manageable and reasonable workloads to prevent stress and employee burnout.

Upward Mobility

We’re committed to push the State and negotiate for increased access and funding to existing departmental Upward Mobility programs, as well as increased opportunities for career related training and education, including apprenticeship programs and reskilling trainings.

Equitable and Fair Use of Leave

We will prioritize equitable and fair use of leave so that all Unit 4 members can use the benefits they have worked hard to earn.
