Northern California Labor Council Announces College Scholarship Opportunity
Two $1,500 Scholarships will be awarded in 2023

The Five Counties Central Labor Council has announced its college scholarship program for 2023. Two $1,500 scholarships are available this year.

The Five Counties Central Labor Council is sponsoring the scholarships. The council is comprised of labor unions in Shasta, Siskiyou, Modoc, Trinity, and Tehama Counties.

The applicant must be graduating high school in the Fall of 2022 or Spring of 2023 and plan to enroll in an accredited college or trade school as a full-time student (at least 12 units) for Fall of 2023. The application requires applicants state their relationship to the union member, provide proof of the union membership in a local affiliated with this Labor Council, and write an original essay about how belonging to a labor union benefits their family as well as the union member in their workplace. Deadline for submission of applications is April 26, 2023.
