At the table this week, Bargaining Unit 4 engaged in several positive conversations and fruitful discussions with the State.

Following last week’s rejection on improving career development language for Unit 4 employees, our bargaining team made it clear that these programs are a priority for our members. You let us know in our Bargaining Survey that Upward Mobility matters, so we’re making sure the State hears that message loud and clear.

Our bargaining team will continue to fight for fair representation for Unit 4 employees by uplifting member voices and holding the line until we come to an agreement that clearly benefits our members.

We’re proud to report that momentum is moving in the right direction, and our bargaining team is working around the clock to keep that momentum going. Our focus this week is strengthening language in Article 13.11.4 to support meaningful Upward Mobility programs for members.

“We’ve been having productive conversations with the State to move our proposals forward. We are fighting every day to secure a contract that makes our members proud and can provide meaningful improvements for our represented employees and their families.”
