Our Union team met and conferred with the Department of General Services (DGS) regarding changes to the FMD Uniform Policy.
FMD wanted to change the uniform policy to include a waiver, which would have violated your rights. Our Union team fought this change and won. There will be no changes to your uniform or the way the policy is implemented.
Karen Maddox-Long, DGS Custodian and Unit 15 BUNC Member told the State team “Don’t fix something that is not broken. Keep the current policy the way it is.”
