The Senate and Assembly have proposed rejecting the Governor’s plan to freeze our hard-earned 3% raise — because we made our voices heard. This win proves that when we stay engaged and united, we get results.
But our fight isn’t over. Legislators need to hear from us now more than ever.
Join us TOMORROW, June 10, at 11am for an urgent Lobby Day at the SEIU California Office — 1029 K St, Sacramento. We’ll thank lawmakers who stood with us — and demand they continue to resist the pressure during budget negotiations.
Lunch will be provided!

Our Fight Against the RTO Mandate
I support the goals of the State-supported commuter programs, which aim to encourage public transit use among State employees. However, I am concerned that the current state of our public transit infrastructure may significantly hinder the effectiveness of this initiative.
Public transit systems are already facing persistent issues, including chronic delays, limited availability of operational train cars and buses, and severe overcrowding—especially during peak hours. With the anticipated increase in ridership resulting from this program and the broader Return to Office policy, these existing challenges are likely to be exacerbated.
Rather than improving the commuting experience, the additional demand may strain the system further, leading to more frequent service disruptions, longer wait times, and reduced reliability. This could have a negative impact not only on new participants in the commuter program but also on the many State employees who already rely on public transit daily.
I want to participate in the fight for our 3% raise this July 2025 and against RTO mandate
Sorry, I cannot make this Lobby Day. I appreciate all those who will be there and stand up and fight for our hard earned 3% raise!
