What made you decide to start working for the State?
I wanted to be of service to my fellow citizens. The job security, benefits and steady work schedules were a nice change from private sector work.
How has your leadership evolved since becoming a steward?
I am a little more outgoing, and feel more connected to my coworkers.
What motivated you to step into leadership?
Current changes in the U.S. at the federal level are calling all of us to fight for the dignity of working class citizens.
What continues to inspire your involvement in this work?
Being part of something bigger than myself.
