One CalPERS Election victory! One More to Go

Thanks to everyone who voted in the CalPERS election and who encouraged others to vote. David Miller was declared the winner for his seat on the CalPERS Board of Administration.

SEIU Local 1000 supported both Miller and Michael Bilbrey because they were the best candidates to protect retirement security and health care benefits.

But we’re not out of the woods yet. Michael Bilbrey’s race is going into a runoff election next month.

Ballots for the runoff will be mailed on November 10, with voting concluding on December 11.

So watch out for your ballot next month, and let’s make this two wins!
