Use our form to report incidents of alleged interference with union membership or union activity by the state. Local 1000 will review submissions to determine whether further investigation of the incident is warranted.

We Filed Another Unfair Practice Charge Against CalHR – October 9, 2026
As we prepare to strike on October 21, CalHR is once again refusing to work with us.
For months, we’ve been working through the line-pass process to determine the minimum staffing needed to protect public health and safety, including which employees may be considered essential and need to work during the strike. But CalHR recently cancelled scheduled meetings and is now refusing to return to the table, preventing us from completing that process.Â
We’re not letting the State stand in the way of our right to strike. We’re fighting back: we filed another Unfair Practice Charge against CalHR.

Contract Action Team (CAT)
Our power at the bargaining table starts in our worksites. It’s going to take thousands of SEIU Local 1000 members taking collective action to win the raises and workplace improvements that we deserve.  We can only make that happen with leaders at every worksite across CA!
