Did you know that State Fund has a Statewide Joint Labor Management Committee? That’s right! Article 5.10 of our MOU encourages Departments to use Joint Labor Management Committees (JLMCs) to address issues of mutual concern between rank and file and management. The JLMC Team comes together in a collaborative problem-solving context to discuss issues such as workload, productivity, improving the quality of service, and making our worksites more efficient and effective.
We are looking for new members! We would love to round out our representation on the Labor Side of the JLMC to include members from across all functions at State Fund. If you are a Local 1000 member working in Scan Indexing, Underwriting, Auditing, Policy Claims, or Legal Support Services we would love to hear from you. You do not have to be a Steward to be considered for the team- just a Local 1000 member in good standing.
Our current team on the Labor side of the State Fund Statewide JLMC consists of:
*Susan Rodriguez, Policy Claims- Pleasanton (Chief Negotiator and Chair of Bargaining Unit 1)
*Tino Huizar, Information Technology
*Cynthia DeLeon, Information Technology
*Noreen Nelson, Claims Processing Center- Redding
*Syretta Peoples, Claims Processing Center- Fresno
*Rana Williams, Claims Processing Center- Fresno
*Victoria Martire, State Contract Services Claims- Rohnert Park
The Statewide JLMC meets quarterly. Our Labor side meets four additional times throughout the year to prepare and discuss agenda items for the upcoming meeting. We are currently meeting exclusively via video conference, so travel is not required. Time away from work to participate in the JLMC meetings and prep sessions is covered by State Release time. To express your interest or for more information, please contact the unit 1 inbox at [email protected].
