RecentDLC 764: Your Union Loves You Coffee Cart
As a pilot program, DLC 764 stewards visited each floor of the California Department of Education building with free coffee, treats, and information on February 11 (floors 1 and 2), 12 (floors 3 and 4), and 13 (floors 5 and 6). As a result of the coffee cart, we connected with our members who provided input on issues of importance at the worksite, obtained multiple new signatures on the 4% petition, recruited a new DLC 764 steward who is applying for LAPS, and connected with 5 new employees who are interested in becoming members of our union. We are hoping to make this event ongoing and switch up which days we visit each floor to be able to connect with more members and future members. We are also hoping to expand this event to other agencies within our DLC.
