GeoPay Task Force Presents and Releases Report
Our contract is the agreement between SEIU Local 1000 and the State that outlines our pay, our benefits, and our rights! Our bargaining team is gearing up to negotiate a new contract and what we win depends on how strong and united we are.
Here are the priorities our Bargaining Unit 14 team is bringing to the table:
Create a first of its kind Unit 14 longevity pay program
- Propose language to increase pay for critical classifications with ongoing pay equity issues and limited upward mobility
- Show value to experienced workers who no longer receive merit salary increases and provide essential value to the state
Strengthen protections for Graphic Designers by proposing language against AI image generation
- Propose strong protections to protect the work of graphic designers from State implementation of Generative AI or image generation tools
Get the strongest GSI possible to value our Unit 14 workers
- Increase wages overall for our workers who have been showing up day in and day out to provide an essential service for the State of California
- Grow the potential of State Printing Services by attracting skilled workers who generate revenue for the State
