Unit 11 Bargaining Unit Negotiating Committee (BUNC)

GeoPay Task Force Presents and Releases Report

Our contract is the agreement between SEIU Local 1000 and the State that outlines our pay, our benefits, and our rights! Our bargaining team is gearing up to negotiate a new contract and what we win depends on how strong and united we are.

Here are the priorities our Bargaining Unit 11 team is bringing to the table:

Fight for our value and an increase to the Uniform Allowance
  • Propose changing the reimbursement structure to increase take-home value and avoid unnecessary tax deductions
  • Streamline the process for reimbursement across departments to reduce wait times for repayment
Fight for fairness and an increase to the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Differential
  • Propose changing the reimbursement structure to increase take-home value and avoid unnecessary deductions and delays
  • Fight to raise the amount of reimbursement for represented workers to lessen the burden of holding the license
Create a first of its kind Unit 11 longevity pay program
  • Propose language to increase pay for critical classifications with ongoing pay equity issues and limited upward mobility
  • Value experienced workers who no longer receive merit salary increases and provide essential value to the state

BENEFITS YOU’VE ALREADY WON

OVERTIME MEAL ALLOWANCE: Many Unit 11 members don’t realize our contract includes an overtime meal allowance in certain situations. If eligible employees are required to work at least two hours before or after their regular shift, they may qualify for a meal reimbursement under the contract.

UNIFORM REPLACEMENT ALLOWANCE: Some Unit 11 members may be eligible for up to $650 per year in uniform replacement reimbursement when uniforms are required but not provided by the State. Be sure to submit requests on time according to your department’s process so you don’t miss out on this benefit.
