We are gratified that the Court has recognized our actions taken to restore democratic procedures and serve the best interests of our membership. We remain focused on the need to effectively represent our members’ interests in bargaining and at the worksite. Actions which distract from our laser focus — such as illegal occupations of our headquarters and interference with proper Union operations — no longer will occur. We can now focus on our mission of building the power we need to be able to win respect and dignity on the job and a strong contract with our new unified leadership. Richard Louis Brown remains suspended from office pending a due process hearing before an independent hearing officer who will hear the charges brought against him and make a recommendation for disciplinary action to the Board of Directors.
We look forward to resolving this issue and focusing once again on serving the workers of SEIU Local 1000.
