Letter from the President
I’m excited to introduce myself as your new President of SEIU Local 1000. My name is Anica Walls, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for you.
As your President, I’m committed to making sure every member’s voice is heard and that we stand strong together. Recently, we’ve had some monumental wins, including a $40k back pay grievance, restoration of shoe allowances (with back pay) for our Unit 15 employees at CCHCS, and the end of a dangerous and deceptive ballot initiative.
To keep you informed and engaged, I’m launching a new President’s Newsletter. In this Newsletter, I’ll share updates, victories, and important information to keep us all connected and moving forward.
Additionally, I’m thrilled to introduce “Five Updates from Anica,” a quick video segment where I’ll cover the top five things you need to know each month. These videos will provide timely updates and insights on what’s happening within our union and beyond.
