Riverside City College (RCC) LVN-to-RN Apprenticeship Program Information
We are excited to announce yet another application period for the Riverside City College (RCC) LVN to RN Apprenticeship program with a cohort start date of February 2025! This program is an ongoing partnership between SEIU Local 1000, CCHCS, and RCC to provide workforce development opportunities to LVNs in regions of Southern California. SEIU Local 1000’s research efforts have resulted in new funding through the High RoadSM Training Partnership grant program provided by the California Workforce Development Board (CWDB).
Our contract language provides partial time off work without loss of pay (“20/20 time”) for apprentices to participate in classes and clinicals. Additionally, the grant funding covers many of the costs associated with participation in this apprenticeship, including overnight accommodation for those remote to the Riverside area, removing the financial burden many working learners face when returning to school. The program lasts approximately one year.
